Part Time Driver

The Part Time Driver drives company vehicles to pick up and deliver parts and customers in the local area. He or she delivers, receives and inspects dealer trade vehicles.  This part time driver will do out of state deliveries and DMV agreements Most importantly and without exception in addition to other duties, the Part Time Driver operates within the legal speed limits and in a safe fashion at all times.

HOURS: Must be flexible. The job requires an on-call commitment. Once notified you will have the opportunity to work the task or refuse it. Jobs are scheduled out as necessary.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, an unrestricted driver's license, and a clean driving record. Candidates must be able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles and must have basic mechanical skills to perform minor vehicle maintenance (checking and topping off fluid levels, maintaining tire pressure, performing vehicle safety checks, etc.). Strong communication and customer service skills required.

• Delivering, receiving and inspecting dealer traded vehicles.
• Delivering and contracting sold units to customers that are purchasing from their place of business or residence.
• Complies with and enforces all safety & security policies and procedures.
• Doing out of state deliveries and DMV agreements, which includes scheduling with a notary for licensing purposes.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Maintains safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards and procedures and complying with codes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Obeys posted speed limits at all times and all other rules of the road.
• Deliver and pick up parts to various locations.
• Maintain a distribution log or tracking system to record all deliveries/pickups made.
• Inspect, protect and maintain company assets, merchandise and vehicles.
• Delivering multiple sold units to a place of business. 
• Driving customers to their locations of residence or business.

• Getting weight certifications on units that require it.

   

   

• No experience necessary.
• A valid California driver's license and clean DMV driving record.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff.
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance.
• Able to multi-task.
• Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Friendly with high energy and the willingness to go above and beyond.
